In Uniconta, it is possible to purchase the items for a BOM, i.e. the items contained in the BOM.
In order to purchase a BOM, the items contained in the BOM must be set up to be used in both buying and selling.
This is done by choosing what the BOM item should contain, read more here. ..
The two examples are based on the two BOMs set up in the article "BOMs in Uniconta", read more here. ..
Here you can see the content of the parts list, which can be used in both buying and selling.
An assembly parts list where the item is not included in the parts list must be purchased as follows.
The parts list must be expanded with a check mark in "Use prices from parts list" (this check mark can be set as the default value by clicking on the black arrow)
When simulating the records, you get the following:
Notes:
If you don't unfold the BOM, you can't post your purchase because you can't buy a BOM, only the sub-items! See the error description at the bottom of the article.
If you fold out the BOM without "Use prices from BOM" you will also get an error or double posted purchase price.
Unfolding without using the prices from the BOM is ONLY for use with a BOM that contains itself in the BOM.
Here you can see the content of the parts list, which can be used in both buying and selling.
The error means you are posting an assembly list to a stock account. This is not possible, as an assembly list cannot be stocked.
Read "Example of purchasing an assembly list" above in the article.
Example of purchasing an assembly parts list
An assembly parts list of a garden set with 4 chairs, 1 table and 1 parasol has been set up. The parts list item is not included in the parts list.

Example of purchasing a parts list with tax
A BOM of a wine with wine and packaging tax is set up. The BOM item, the wine, is included in the BOM.

Error possibilities when purchasing a BOM
If you get the following error Error: You cannot post 'non-stock items' to a stock account
