Credit notes can be created from an already posted creditor or debtor invoice.
Of course, a credit note can also be posted in a draft, but the user must remember to select the posting type 'credit note'. Read more in our questions and answers here.
You are asked if you want to go to the order line. Select 'Yes' to view, edit and send the credit note.
In the order line, you can change values such as Quantity, Price, etc.
ATTENTION! Any VAT code at line level is not included, so it must be applied to the credit note manually.

It is possible to simulate postings and/or preview the credit note.

Create a credit note from an already posted creditor or debtor invoice:
This describes how to create a credit note from a customer invoice under Accounts receivable/Reports/Invoices. This works the same way when you want to create a credit note from a vendor invoice. The only difference is that you create these under Accounts payable/Reports/Invoices. When a credit note is created in this way, an offset is automatically made to the original invoice. This happens regardless of which 'Automatic' equalization method is selected in the company information. If you do not want this, read more here. However, please note that the description only applies if the Orders and/or Purchasing module is used. If the 'Orders' module is not active under Company/Maintenance/Turnfunctions on/off, you can still create a credit note for a debtor invoice. This is now done under 'Accounts receivable/Quick invoice', using the 'Copy invoice' button. In the bottom left corner of this window, you can check the Credit note box. ATTENTION! If you have created a tax on an item, you must manually remove the tax yourself before the credit note is posted. If this change is not made, the tax will count twice, because Uniconta does not automatically remove the tax when a credit note is created by reversing the sign on an invoice. Read about tax groups here. Create a credit note for a debtor: Go to Accounts receivable/Reports/Invoices and select the invoice to create a credit note for. Press the 'Create order' button. Select 'Reverse sign' and 'OK'.
