Supplier service (B2B)

Payment service (B2C)

- Betalingsservice Basic: Customers must be registered for Betalingsservice.
- Betalingsservice Total: FI cards are sent to customers who are not registered for Betalingsservice, those who are registered are automatically debited via the bank. Customers who are not registered for Betalingsservice can have the invoice sent to their e-boks/Betalingsservice APP if their CPR number or CVR number is stated on the debtor and an agreement has been made with Mastercard. Note: If the CPR number is used, it must be stated in the CVR number field on the debtor.
Differences between Leverandørservice and Betalingsservice
- In Betalingsservice a notification text can be included - this is not possible Leverandørservice
- In Betalingsservice you don't need to be notified in connection with a collection. In Betalingsservice, you don't need to be notified of a collection - you do in Leverandørservice. Mastercard sends the customer a complete Betalingsservice overview every month with your notification text.
- In Betalingsservice, several amounts can be charged/paid on the same day, in Leverandørservice, a maximum of one amount can be charged or paid per debtor per banking day.
- In Betalingsservice you need to plan your direct debits/payments well in advance. Betalingsservice must have the information by the 6th last banking day of the month before. In Leverandørservice, you can charge with one day's notice - you must still remember to notify the debtor 3 days before - for example, by writing it on the invoice.
- Leverandørservice requires the debtor to have a CVR number. Betalingsservice can be used by both private individuals and companies.
Creating an agreement with Mastercard (Leverandørservice and Betalingsservice)
In order to collect payments from customers, an agreement must be made with Mastercard. In this connection, it is important to be aware of the following:The data provider
It is important to specify Uniconta as the Data Provider. The Data Provider is the legal entity that provides data to Mastercard on the basis of a Data Provider Agreement. Uniconta A/S CVR number 33266928 is the Data Supplier and will act as a subcontractor for the creditor. The subcontractor acts on behalf of the creditor according to the same rules and with the same legal effect as if the creditor itself had delivered data to Mastercard.Supplier service
Important information regarding signing up for Leverandørservice with Mastercard.Specified payment information
It is important that 'Yes' is entered for specified payment information, otherwise Uniconta will not be able to match the individual payments with the correct invoices. This only applies to Leverandørservice.
Here is a detailed description from the Mastercard website
Itemized payment information can be selected on creditor agreements and means that on the 602 deliveries (payment information) from Mastercard, the creditor will be specified which amount each debtor has paid to the creditor. If it is not selected, the creditor will only receive a total amount of e.g. 15 payments on a given day. After this, it is up to the creditor/creditor's system to distribute the payments to the debtors.
There is an additional cost for the individual creditor. See the price list at Mastercard

Creating/Changing FI creditor
This only applies to the Total solution. In order to use Betalingsservice, you must have an FI creditor.
Already have an FI creditor:
It is important to understand that the FI notification can only be submitted in one place (Bank or Betalingsservice).
If you already have an FI creditor, which is used to create the OCR line on invoices sent from Uniconta, the FI payments are received in the bank - this means that the FI notification is via the bank.
If you want all customers to be charged via Betalingsservice, it is recommended to contact the bank and get them to change from FI notification via the bank to FI notification via Betalingsservice, then the payments (files) will be received in Uniconta.
It is also possible to continue with notification via the bank, but then you must make sure to change the setup in Uniconta so that it is Uniconta that creates OCR Payment ID otherwise it is not possible to decode who the payer is. Read more here.
If you still want to be able to send invoices to a selection of customers and at the same time charge other customers with Betalingsservice, it is recommended to create a specific FI creditor for Betalingsservice, then FI collections via Betalingsservice will be delivered to Uniconta via our integration and other payments will still be received in the bank. If you only want to have one FI creditor, the FI notification must continue to be via the bank. Here you must make sure to change the setup so that Uniconta generates OCR Payment ID, otherwise it is not possible to decode who the payer is. Read more here.
Do not have an FI creditor:
You must contact your bank and ask them to create an FI creditor with FI notification via Betalingsservice.
Sign-ups and sign-offs 603-Liverance
It is important that you have specified that Mastercard must send files when registering and deregistering mandates plus delivery of a monthly 603 file with all active mandates.
This must be written in the Remarks field in the contract you make with Mastercard. Write:
Want to receive 603 files in connection with. Subscriptions and Unsubscriptions.
Want to receive a monthly 603 file with All active mandates. It should be created on the 10th of each month.
It's also possible to call Mastercard and get it sorted.
605-Leverance - Create Betalingsservice agreements
This option is supported in Uniconta.
602-Delivery Customers who are registered for Betalingsservice
This delivery (file) contains a specification of the charges that have been completed. Mastercard creates the file the day before the due date and is then imported into Uniconta.
The file arrives at the same time as the deposits arrive at the bank.
Note: On the due date, you will receive a BS total amount in your bank that covers the charge. The posting text in the bank will be 'BS <company name>'.
We recommend using the 602 delivery from Mastercard to reconcile your charges, as the payments from Mastercard are itemized and not just a total amount.
602-Liverance - Customers receiving payment cards (only applies to Total solution)
This delivery (file) contains a specification of the payments made via payment cards. Mastercard continuously creates the files when the payments are received. The files are then downloaded into Uniconta.
686-Leverance
Customers who are not registered for Betalingsservice will receive an invoice from Mastercard (Total solution). The payment will generate a transaction in the bank that is not immediately identifiable. This is an example of an entry text in the bank: 030619 indbet.ID=000003577339678.
The payment was made on d. 03.06.2019. The payment ID is autogenerated by Mastercard and can therefore not be used to identify who the payment concerns, we recommend that you use the return file from Mastercard to reconcile your charges.
If you want to identify the Payment ID from the bank, there are two options:
- Set up Uniconta to create payment ID. Read more here.
- Order a 686 delivery from Mastercard. This is a file that Mastercard generates and sends on the due date. The file is a text file that contains a 'translation' of the posting texts in the bank.
Migration of existing Mastercard solution to Uniconta
There are a number of things to consider when switching an existing Mastercard solution to Uniconta. Data Supplier In order to use the Mastercard solutions Leverandørservice and Betalingsservice in Uniconta, Uniconta A/S must be a Data Supplier. At Mastercard you can change the existing agreement Betalingsservice - change data provider Supplier service - change data supplier There is a Data Supplier Agreement for Uniconta, so it does not need to be attached. Supplier service Also remember that 'Yes' must be entered for specified payment information. Mastercard states that it usually takes 4-5 business days from receiving the change until it is completed. During busy periods, the processing time can be even longer. It is important that you carefully plan the timing of the Data Supplier change. All data (collections/payments/mandates) must be completed on the old Data Supplier connection, including the 3 business days when it is possible for the debtor to reverse/reject a payment. It is therefore recommended that the Creditor takes a break of at least 5 business days from the last payment date for data delivered with the old Data Supplier connection, so that Mastercard has time to settle everything and register the Data Supplier connection to Uniconta. Master information on the creditor's agreement is not in place until the day after Mastercard processes the change itself, and only then can you start sending data via Uniconta. Customers who are already enrolled in Leverandørservice in the solution they are being converted from can be activated in Uniconta relatively easily and charging can continue unhindered. Here is a short guide on how to do this. File formats for payment methods You need to create a setup for the payment method Supplier service. Read more here Create Mandates in Uniconta In order to create charges, mandates must be created in Uniconta. Read more about mandates here The mandates are created from Debtor - select all the customers to be charged. Then press the 'Create mandates' button. If a debit account was used as a mandate ID in the previous financial system, remember to activate the parameter 'Use debit account as mandate ID' under 'File formats for payment methods' before creating the mandates. The mandates have now been created, but they must be activated in Uniconta to be used. Activate mandates Here it is important that only the mandates that are registered with Leverandørservice are activated Mandates that are not created with a debtor account as mandate ID will get an auto-generated mandate ID. This must be changed to match the mandate ID the customer is registered with at Mastercard. This will typically be a debit account if the previous solution was a C5. The mandate ID that the customer is registered with at Mastercard is entered in the 'Alternative mandate' field. If you have many customers, you can use Data manipulation, which can be found under tools. The mandate is then activated by pressing the 'Activate' button. Order a file from Leverandørservice A file containing all active mandates can be ordered from Leverandørservice. The file is automatically received in Uniconta's file archive and can be loaded from there. Leverandørservice charges a fee for this service. A Payment method with the correct Creditor number must be created for the file to be received. Betalingsservice Customers who are already registered for Betalingsservice in the solution they are being converted from can be activated in Uniconta relatively easily and collection can continue unhindered. Here is a short guide on how to do this. File formats for payment methods A setup must be made for the payment method Betalingsservice. The mandate ID that the customer is registered with at Mastercard is entered in the 'Alternative mandate' field. If you have many customers, you can use Data Manipulation which can be found under Tools. After that, there are two ways to activate a mandate:- It is recommended to use this activation. Request Mastercard to send a 603 delivery containing all active mandates. Here you do not need to fill in the field 'Identification of the agreement'. Uniconta will then activate all the mandates when the file is received from Mastercard. Remember to click Import under Payment proposal (Read more here)
- There is also this option. If you fill in the field 'Agreement identification', which is an Agreement number issued by Mastercard, you will be able to activate the mandate directly from Uniconta - by pressing the 'Activate' button. This solution will not validate if the mandate is active with Mastercard. It requires a 603 delivery, which is described in point 1.
Customer number
In Uniconta, the term Mandate is used, but it is the same as Customer number.
Uniconta automatically generates a Mandate ID, but it is also possible to specify a Mandate ID yourself or use a debtor account number. Read more about mandates here
SEPA Direct Debit
SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) is an EU-based solution used by businesses to collect payments from debtors throughout the SEPA area. Charges are made in euros and can be both one-off and recurring charges.
Uniconta Direct Debit offers two sets of rules Core and B2B.
Core: primarily for private collections, but can also be used for business collections
B2B: is only for business collections
Especially when it comes to rejections and chargebacks, there are big differences between the two types.
Direct Debit in general
It is recommended to check the rules of your own bank, as the following may differ.
- A Direct Debit collection always requires a Mandate, which is a legal payment agreement between the Company (Creditor) and the Customer
- The creditor must have a unique ID, typically issued by the financial institution
- SEPA Direct Debit can only handle EUR payments
- The payment date is the banking day on which the amount is posted to the Creditor and Debtor accounts
- Debtor must be notified before the collection is executed
- Debtor's bank must register and check the B2B mandate before collections can be authorized
- Debtor has the right to cancel collections 8 weeks after the payment date for CORE.
- Debtor has the right to cancel unauthorized charges 13 months after the payment date
