Uniconta banking solutions
Bank Connect is one of the three banking solutions Uniconta offers. Below is a brief description of Aiia. You can read more about the solution via the link under each point.
Bank Connect
Bank Connect is a collaboration between Regional Banks Association, Local Banks and the three data centers:
Common solution for the majority of Danish banks. The collaboration between the three data centers will bring the joint solution Bank Connect to more than 60 financial institutions. Among these, 14 of the 16 largest banks in Denmark – among others. Jyske Bank, Nykredit Bank, Sydbank, Handelsbanken, Spar Nord Bank and Arbejdernes Landsbank.
Uniconta will retrieve bank statements daily or several times a day for the accounts that are registered. The bank transactions are loaded directly into the bank reconciliation.
- Danske Bank and Nordea are not included in this solution
- Part of AutoBanking, which is a Uniconta Add-in
- Ability to receive today's bank transactions
- An agreement must be made with the bank

Mastercard Open Banking (former Aiia)
Mastercard Open Banking creates a connection between the bank and Uniconta. It does not require an agreement with the bank. Connection is established via mobile banking login and Mitid/NemId
- The solution covers most Danish banks and many foreign banks. Find via this link the list of all Mastercard Open Bank supported banks
- Part of AutoBanking, which is a Uniconta Add-in
- Bank records are automatically retrieved 2-4 times a day

Nordea
Is a direct integration to Nordea. As a Nordea business customer, you will be able to make an agreement with them so that Uniconta retrieves yesterday's bank transactions every morning, which are loaded directly into the bank reconciliation.
- Part of AutoBanking, which is a Uniconta Add-in
- Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish accounts available with Nordea
- Yesterday's bank transactions only
- An agreement must be made with the bank

Setting up a Bank Connect connection
Bank Connect is part of AutoBanking which is a Uniconta Add-in. Autobanking is automatically activated when you start using the solution.
In order for Uniconta to have access to retrieve bank statements, a Bank Connect agreement must be made with the bank in question.
- Contact your bank and set up a Bank Connect agreement
- Receipt of agreement document from financial institution
- Receiving Activation Code via SMS/letter from bank
The agreement document contains a Customer Number, which is used to establish the connection between Uniconta and Bank Connect. In addition, you as a customer will receive an SMS/letter from the bank containing an activation code.
The connection is created under Bank Reconciliation. At least one bank must be created in the bank reconciliation. Read more
here.
Only one Uniconta account can be connected per Bank Connect agreement. However, multiple accounts can be linked to the same agreement.
Signing up for Bank Connect is located under Tools in the menu and is called 'Connect to Bank Connect':

In the dialog box, the following must be filled in:
Function
Select Register here
Service ID
Is stated in the agreement document. It can have different names depending on which Bankcentral the bank is affiliated with.
It can be called Bank Connect ID, Function ID or Agreement ID.
Note: The typical error during enrollment is registration is that an incorrect Service ID is entered. Below you can see how many digits a Service ID has for each Data Center. Find which data center your bank uses
here.
BankData: The Service ID is typically
13 digits long and can be found in the agreement document. It can be called Bank Connect ID, Function ID or Agreement ID depending on which bank it is.

Select bank. The list shows all banks that are connected to Bank Connect.
Connected banks can also be found directly at Bank Connect
here.
Activation code
Received via SMS/letter from the bank.

You will then receive the above info box if the connection has been established correctly.
Otherwise, you will receive a message that the connection could not be established. This may be due to an incorrect Service ID/Activation Code. There may also be other reasons why the connection cannot be established.
It is also recommended to check the status page at
Bank Connect, as they may have technical issues that prevent connection. The status page can be found
here.
Connect accounting to existing Bank Connect connection
Multiple Uniconta accounts can be connected to the same Bank Connect agreement.
It is relevant to use this feature if the bank accounts associated with the Bank Connect agreement are created in different Uniconta accounts.

The above is an example of an account linked to the All to the sea account.
'Everything for the sea' has been connected to Bank Connect and is now the main account.
It is the main account that will technically receive all bank statements. The individual bank statements will then be distributed to the associated accounts.
Unsubscribe from Bank Connect connection
A Bank Connect connection can be unsubscribed. This means that bank statements will no longer be retrieved.
Note: The agreement with Bank Connect is not canceled. Only the connection between Uniconta and Bank Connect is canceled.

Note: If AutoBanking is deactivated under
'Turn functions on/off', bank statements will no longer be retrieved. There will still be an active connection to Bank Connect and the bank will continue to generate bank statements for Bank Connect. If AutoBanking is reactivated, you should be aware that all the bank statements created by the bank in the intervening period will be loaded into Uniconta.
Move Bank Connect agreement to new Uniconta accounting
There may be situations where you want to move your Bank Connect agreement to a new Uniconta account. This can be done by following the instructions below:
- First, unsubscribe the Bank Connect connection for the accounts that should no longer be enrolled
- Order a new activation code in the Bank
- Then register the new Uniconta accounts to Bank Connect
Receiving bank statements
Once the connection is established, Uniconta will retrieve daily bank statements for the accounts associated with the Bank Connect agreement.
Uniconta queries the bank every hour in the following time interval between 6:00 and 21:00 on all banking days.
By default, the bank statement will be loaded into the bank reconciliation.
It is also possible to load the bank statement directly into an accounting journal. The setup is done on the individual bank account. A 'Draft' must be specified when 'Load bank account statement in bookkeeping draft' is activated.
Note: If transactions are loaded directly into the bookkeeping draft, they will not be loaded into the bank reconciliation.
Uniconta can read the following formats from the bank:
CAMT.053
Contains yesterday's postings. The bank statement is typically received in the morning between 6:00 and 10:00 am.
Note: By default, Uniconta will always be able to receive CAMT.053.
CAMT.054
Contains "during the day" notifications + any Fi notifications. Uniconta queries the bank every hour in the following time interval between 6:00 and 21:00 on all banking days. The withdrawal can be ordered for one or more times during the day. This setup is done in the bank.
Note: Please contact Uniconta support to receive this type of account statement.
CAMT.052
Contains a record overview (same content as CAMT.054). Uniconta queries the bank in the following time interval between 6.00 and 21.00 every banking day. The extract can be ordered for one or more times during the day. This setup is done in the bank.
Note: Please contact Uniconta support to receive this type of account statement.
General information for all types of account statements. Bank statements are not generated on weekends and public holidays as the banks do not run clearing on these days, so even if a transfer is made on the weekend, it will not be posted/cleared until the next business day.

Registering bank accounts in Uniconta
In the bank reconciliation, you need to create all the bank accounts you have signed up for Bank Connect via your bank.
Danish bank accounts
Danish bank accounts (the bank's own accounts) are identified with a so-called BBAN
(Basic Bank Account Number). What we know in Denmark as e.g. 8075-0001149999.
Uniconta searches for Registration Number and Bank Account when loading the bank statement. Bank accounts are set up during bank reconciliation.
The bank's registration number
must always be filled in with 4 digits. Below are examples of correctly filled in registration numbers:
8075
0400
Bank account
Must be filled in without a leading zero. Below are examples of correctly filled out bank accounts:
1149999
or with a leading zero so that the total number of digits is ten.
0001149999
Note: Please note that there must not be a space at the end of the Bank account or Registration number. This can happen when you copy the account number.
Service-Id
It is recommended that you fill in the Service-Id, so it will automatically be inserted in the dialog box when communicating with the bank.
Foreign bank accounts
Foreign bank accounts are identified with an IBAN number.
Uniconta searches for IBAN numbers when loading bank statements. Bank accounts are set up during bank reconciliation.
Bank log
In the bank log, all communication with Bank Connect is registered and any errors will also be visible here.

The log is opened via the menu item above. The bank log is described in detail
here.
Bank reconciliation
It is recommended to select the 'Info' field, as it contains additional information about the transaction. If foreign currency is deposited in the bank account, you can also download the Currency and Currency amount fields.

If you use Bank Connect, it is important to be aware of the following to optimize the automatic bank reconciliation in Uniconta.
For vendor payments, the bank reconciliation searches for the texts
Ref:,
Fak: or
Kto:
It is recommended to change the text in 'Our message' to Ref:%5. A unique ReferenceId is inserted - a so-called EndToEndID. This is a ReferenceId that is included in the payment file and will be included in the bank statement. In this way, you have created a 1:1 relationship between the bank entry in the bank statement and the transaction in Uniconta.
If you find that the bank reconciliation is not optimal or that the posting text is not complete, please contact our support and we will look into it, as we want to get the most optimal connection between Bank Connect and Uniconta bank reconciliation.
