An invoice can be accrued over a selected period.
First, you need to set up an Accrual, which posts the individual entry in the selected periods. Read more about Allocation here.
In the distribution account, determine where the income should be posted when accruing. In Model, select Periodization. The distribution percentage must be 100.00
Do not set a number of accrual periods. This is controlled by the sales order.
In "Every nth month, determine how often accruals should be made.
Counter account must be an account in status. Often the same as the account to be set as revenue account on the Sales Order.
The Sales Order must then be created.
Here it is important that a Revenue account is set. If there is VAT on the invoice, there must be VAT on the account, even if it is in status. This is so that VAT can be paid when the invoice is sent.
The order must NOT be deleted after invoicing. Accruals cannot be set if this is set.
Under "Recurrence", select how often an invoice should be sent. If "Yearly" is selected and "Per month" is selected under "Accrual", then the invoice is accrued over 12 months.
If "3 years" is selected and "Per month" is selected under "Accrual", then the invoice is accrued over 36 months.
ATTENTION! Remember to check that new financial years in the future are created under Finance/Maintenance/Fiscal years if accruals are to be made in these years.
Under Distribution, select the Accrual code.
Then enter the order lines
Tap Invoicing. Select only "Simulation" and check if you are posting correctly.
Booked correctly, the invoice can be created.
