Note: Batch numbers can be created both before and during purchase order creation.
A batch number applies to a quantity of the same item. For example, a batch of vegetables.
When using Principle 1a, you can only have one purchase line per batch number.
Using Principle 1b, you can have a purchase line with the number>1, and link with many different batch numbers.
Principle 1b is described here
At Lager/goods, the batch number must be selected on the product card itself.
Go to Accounts payable/Purchase orders.
Add an order with F2 or click Add in the ribbon.
Select account and creditor information is retrieved and can now be changed as needed.
Click Save & go to lines to enter the items you want to order.
ATTENTION! If you have several batches of the same item, you must create a purchase line for each batch number.
Click on the Batch/serial numbers button
In the upper part of the screen you see the Linked items. It is empty by default and you need to create the number of lines you want to buy in.
In the lower part of the screen you can see the Unlinked batch/serial numbers created on the selected item. If there are none in the bottom screen, they can be created under "Items/Maintenance/Batch/ Serial numbers". Read more here. Or read on below in the article.
It is now possible to add the items you purchase from the order line
Create the number of items you are purchasing, one line for each, by F2 or click Add item to ribbon.
If Batch numbers are filled in the lower part of the Batch/Serial number screens. Check the items to be linked from Not linked, with the lines you create in Linked.
There can be more Unlinked lines than Linked, but there must at least be an equal number. If there are more lines in Linked, you have not created all batch/serial numbers in your creation. These must be added before you can complete your purchase.
Click Link in the ribbon and the items in the top window will be linked to the batch/serial numbers created.
Click Save and close the tab.
When invoicing a purchase invoice, you can see that the serial numbers are printed.
