File formats for payment methods
A payment method must be created for the type of payment format to be used. The payment method is specified on the debtors to be charged via Mastercard. However, Uniconta will automatically update the debtor with the current payment method when the mandate is activated at Mastercard.

Vendor number |
The creditor number to be entered here is the PBS agreement number/creditor number issued by Mastercard.
The number is a unique identification of the company (Creditor) in relation to customers.
The number is either 5 or 8 digits depending on whether it is a payment service or supplier service. Read more about this below.
If you do not know the company's creditor number, you must contact Mastercard to find out.
Betalingsservice:
The Mastercard designation is the PBS agreement number. A PBS agreement number is 8 digits long. It is important that all digits are entered, including leading zeros.
If you have entered an incorrect number, the files from Mastercard cannot be loaded and cannot be immediately restored.
Supplier service:
The Mastercard designation is Creditor number. A Creditor number is 5 digits long. |
Payment format |
Here you can choose between the different payment formats available in Uniconta. The following formats are available.

- Iceland A country-specific solution for Iceland
- SEPA Direct Debit is a European solution

Bank account |
Specify the financial account for the bank account to be used.
The bank account must be created under Finance/Bank reconciliation to be selected here. |
Draft |
Select the accounting journal to be used for posting the payments.
It is recommended to create an accounting journal dedicated to Mastercard.
Important! The journal must not be set up with manual assignment of voucher numbers. In that case, an error message will be displayed when transferring payments to the draft.
The charges will automatically be transferred to this draft when files are received from Mastercard. |
Automatic bookkeeping |
Choose whether you want completed charges from Mastercard to be automatically posted.
If automatic posting is not selected, the draft selected in the field above must be posted manually.
In the startup process. startup, it is not recommended to choose automatic posting. This can be done once you are familiar with the processes. |

Use Debtor account as mandate ID |
Mandates will be created with the debitor account number as Mandate ID and not an auto-generated ID.
Upon receipt of Mandate files, the mandates will automatically be created in Uniconta. Read more here. |
Announcement |
Custom setup of notification to the debtor of a collection. Message can only be used for SEPA Direct Debit. |
