Workspaces can be used as an additional "dimension" on project records, and workspaces can be used across all projects.
Work areas are created and maintained under
Project/Maintenance/Work area, and can then be selected where costs are booked on projects, for example.
When creating an invoice proposal for a project, it can be limited to a workspace so that, for example, only project items booked with workspace 2020 are included in the invoice proposal.
Workspace is also saved down to invoice and adjustment items whose workspace is filled in on the invoice proposal header.
Version-93 The workspace that is selected by default is automatically selected when creating an on-account invoice proposal from the project file or from the work in progress report. If the on-account proposal is created from the Work in Progress report and workspaces are shown here, the workspace from the selected line will be transferred as the workspace for the on-account invoice proposal instead.

The following can be filled in the workspace.
Number |
Short text or value indicating the name of the Workspace. |
Name |
Long workspace name |
Status |
Indicates the status of the workspace.
Open: You can freely register in the workspace.
Blocked: Then you cannot register in the Workspace and it does not appear in the dropdown list
Warning: Registration is possible, but the user will receive a warning when ready and approved in the Time registration. There is no warning in the project draft. |
Standard |
Here you can specify if a workspace should generally be set to this value. Only one Workspace may be selected by default. |
Work areas relate to tasks, activities and registrations on projects.
