When two items are merged, all entries on "From Item" are moved to "To Item" and "From Item" is deleted in the item overview.
Before merging items, consider the following:

- A merge of goods cannot be undone.
- Adding items with different quantities in stock and with different cost prices will affect the cost prices of the existing stocked items.
- If you combine items with a number of different items, e.g. combining 2 printers with 3 PCs results in 5 PCs in stock in Uniconta.
- The same item has been created twice. Check that the cost price is the same.
- You want to delete items that are no longer used, so merging them into a "trash item" can be a solution.
- A "bin item" should be blocked and can be unblocked if you need to put more items in the "bin".
- All records are copied to the returning item.
- All items will be included in a recalculation of cost prices
- This means that if cost prices are recalculated in periods with inventory items on a combined item, all cost prices on sales-related items will be recalculated and will most likely be changed, as recalculation is now done across two item numbers.
- Inventories will be merged, so items should be in "0" before merging if the item is not just the same item but created twice.
