In Uniconta, it is possible to enforce whether a field should be filled in or not. You can also determine how the field should be filled in and whether a field should be visible in a dropdown box where the values can be selected.
Default values can be found under Company/Maintenance/Default values, where all catalogs can be selected. It's also possible to create default values directly on a directory/screen/tab/form.
In the Property field, select the field where you want a fixed value each time you create a new vendor.
In the example below, we select a custom created field, 'ABC', which should have a fixed value 'A'
The value is set to 'A' and the field is marked as forced by checking the Forced box.
Test the field by accessing the creditor.
Fail to fill in the field, 'ABC' and this error message 'Field [xxx] must not be empty' is displayed.
The field names to be displayed in the inventory dropdown lists are selected under property.
At the same time select "Find Mail"
If you then open a screen where items can be selected, the two selected fields will appear in the dropdown list. Shown here in Sales prices.
The "Transfer" field is an enum field, hardcoded by the developers. This means that you must use 0, 1 or 2 to display one of the three values.
If you want "Current record" to be displayed as the default value, enter 2 in the "LastTransfer (Transfer)" field as shown below.
Default values under Company
Under Company/Maintenance/Default values, select the table/file you want to insert a default value. You can see the name of the table by opening the screen containing the desired data to create a default value in and press F12, after which you get the name of the directory. If you are on a screen and want to insert a default value, you can press the F12 key to get the map button, but you can already create a default value here. Simply click the black arrow next to the map button in the box that appears after pressing F12. Default values are stored on the company and are available to all users of the accounts. Note! If you want a field to be filled in/not filled in by default or forced in a dialog box, click the arrow button in the header of the dialog box. Read more here). Checking forced means that the field must be filled in, either with the set value or a value.Example: Set a fixed value on a field
This includes setting a fixed value on a field on the creditor co-data. Select Default values in the menu under Company. Select Cartotek CreditorClient (Creditors)

Add fields in Dropdown menus
Via Default values, you can select multiple fields to be displayed in dropdown boxes in Uniconta. For example, select the Lager directory here

Example of adding to the debtor dropdown menu
Can I show the blocked from debtor field when I select my debtor on a sales order? Yes, you can, and here's what you do:- Go to the Debtor/Debitor screen and press the F12 key
- Click the black arrow next to the "DebtorClient" map button
- A new window opens, "TableValue_DebtorClient"
- Add an entry here, click F2 or Ctrl+N if necessary
- In the "Property" field, select "Blocked" which is the field you want to show in the dropdown box.
- In the "Find post" field, check the box.
- Save and close the tab.
- Open sales order and select account and see the blocked field in the dropdown list.
Example of values filled in when transferring attachments to the draft
If you want to create default values for "Transfer to draft" there is one thing you need to be aware of. The draft name can be displayed via a default value, but if you change the draft name manually, the manual name is displayed until you manually change it back, or close physical attachments and open again.
