Business days
It is important that the payment date does not fall on days when the bank is closed. Most banks will reject the payment if the payment date is not a banking day.
To avoid this, you can activate the Banking days calendar under 'File formats for payment methods'. Uniconta has a calendar for all public holidays in Denmark.
Accounts payable/Maintenance/Payment method file formats, stand on the line with the format and select the
Edit button and fill in the
Banking days field.

Banking day can be set to the following values:
- '-' Uniconta will not use the Banking Days calendar.
- Before - Uniconta finds the first business day before the due date if the due date is a public holiday.
- After - Uniconta finds the first business day after the due date if the due date is a public holiday.
The payment dates are checked when creating the payment file. Payments that fall on public holidays will fail.
Calendar for Banking is now created until 31.12.2030 (previously 2026). Calendar has public holidays + bank closing day for the following countries (DK, NL, UK, DE, NO, EE, IS and ZA)
